HELEN CLARK WE LOVE YOU

Rt Honourable Helen Clark will never be fogotten as Prime Minister of New Zealand, and the best leader the Labour Party has ever seen. It was like the loss of a good old friend when PM Clark announced she was stepping down as leader of the Labour party on the same fateful night the National Party took the forefront in the NZ elections on 8th November 2008.

Helen Clark UN BBC Hardtalk interview 21 Sept 2009

Also stepping down from the Labour benches on the same night was Dr Michael Cullen who did a good job of handling New Zealands finances. The NZ Labour Party will be at a great loss without these two miraculous and public friendly people at the helm. Hon Phil Goff has taken over as leader of the Labour party, we are certain this meticulous man will keep the National Govt straight.

At a time when the rest of the western world is turning to left wing policies it is the hope New Zealands people have made the correct decision by voting for centre right National Govt. The far right ACT Party is Nationals main coalition partner in the MMP government, and could well persuade the National leader Mr John Key to make harsh and unpopular policies regarding pensions and welfare, National party will be doing themselves no favours by targeting NZs most poor and vulnerable during this recession.

To be fair to the Key National party, maybe I am wrong to judge them on the 1990s Bolger/Shipley govt which was very harsh on sick and injured people. Mr Key looks like an honest man, time will tell, it`s Nationals privatisation themes that have me worried.
