Australia hesitated to sign up to the Emissions Trading Scheme ETS, so why did John Key`s National govt sign up to this bullshit scheme which will not help global warming one bit?, it is just another tax we do not need, with this increase in energy costs plus the GST increase many poor families will be unable to afford electricity - gas - etc = everything, for an already struggling economy this has just made things a hell of a lot worse!.

Mr Key!, the worst polluter in the world is CHINA, and yet you are greasing around making trading deals and trying to convince Kiwis to learn Mandarin, what a damn joke!. NZ`s carbon emissions pale in comparison to industrial polluters such as China.
This idiotic National Govt had better be ready to deal with the SEVERE hardship it is dealing out to ordinary NZ`ers! --always remember that the damned National party was formed by a bunch of rich farmers almost a century ago, and still runs on this hollow format, not what we need in todays world.
